On the afternoon of February 4, we gathered at M/Darbnīca for the first meeting of the “Jazz Latvia” association members, where we not only planned and structured our future activities but also engaged in a creative brainstorming session about the association’s shared vision and values, and what the community of “Jazz Latvia” members and supporters should look like.
The Latvian Jazz Association continues to welcome like-minded individuals into its ranks.
The association’s goal is to build a community of industry representatives: to promote mutual cooperation among Latvian jazz and improvised music performers, composers, producers, media outlets, concert venues, publishers, and other related organizations, as well as to foster the development of the jazz music industry in Latvia and abroad.
