01 — Support the Latvian Jazz Community

Support Latvian jazz and improvised music performers, composers, producers, media and publishers, while promoting the development of the jazz industry in Latvia and strengthening its recognition internationally.

02 — Represent the Industry

Represent the Latvian jazz industry in local cultural and professional processes, communicate its interests and inform institutions, organisations and decision-makers about the needs of the sector.

03 — Represent Latvian Jazz Internationally

Represent Latvian jazz at international conferences, exhibitions, showcases and other professional industry events, increasing the visibility of Latvian artists and the wider jazz scene abroad.

04 — Build International Cooperation

Develop partnerships and collaborative projects across the Baltic States, European Union, Nordic countries and the wider international music community.

Attract financial and other resources that support the Society’s activities and contribute to the long-term development of Latvia’s jazz sector.

02 — Mobility & Industry Support

Attract funding to support the participation of Latvian jazz and improvised music professionals in local and international industry events, creating opportunities for mobility, networking and professional development.

03— Support Programmes

Develop procedures and opportunities through which artists and other representatives of the Latvian jazz industry can apply for and receive support from the Society.

04 — Events & Representation

Organise, participate in and coordinate the representation of Latvian jazz at concerts, festivals, seminars, masterclasses, showcases, competitions, exhibitions, conferences and other cultural and professional events.

05 — Documentation & Research

Document the development of jazz and improvised music in Latvia and support research that contributes to a deeper understanding and preservation of the country’s jazz culture.

06 — Database & Industry Mapping

Create and maintain information about Latvia’s jazz and improvised music ecosystem, including artists, organisations, venues, festivals, educational institutions and other industry participants.

07 — Partnerships & Connections

Build connections between artists, organisations and industry professionals while developing partnerships that strengthen the growth, visibility and international reach of Latvian jazz.

08 — Supporting the Society’s Mission

Develop other initiatives and activities that contribute to the Society’s goals, support the Latvian jazz community and comply with existing legislation.
